Martial arts
Build control through kicks, footwork, and flowing movement.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian practice that brings martial arts, expressive movement, music, and play into a shared circle.

Two people move in response to each other: a kick, an evasion, a change of direction. The exchange is often called a game. It asks players to pay attention, adapt, and keep the interaction going.
Music shapes the energy of the roda—the circle where capoeira is played. Singing, percussion, and the people around the circle are part of the practice.

Capoeira developed in Brazil through the experiences and traditions of African people and their descendants, including during enslavement and resistance.
That cultural context matters. Our practice includes learning beyond physical technique: music, community, and respect for the art are part of the experience.
